"Hello, my name is Eric Koenig of North Star Guide Service. I am a "fully insured "fishing guide, youth coach, work for our school district and most importantly a father. My family owns and operates North Star Lake Resort , a deluxe family resort located north of Grand Rapids. I have been a guide in our area's "1000 Grand Lakes" for 21 years. I am an avid outdoorsman pursuing almost everything that swims, flys or lives in the woods. It is my passion to put my clients on the biggest fish of their lives while learning something new on the water ."
Our Area
The Grand Rapids area is located 3 1/2 hours to the north of Minneapolis/St. Paul. This picturesque community is abundunt with natural lakes that vary in size. The largely popular 59,000 acre Lake Winnibigoshish is a walleye and musky fishermans haven. Lakes such as Bowstring, Sand, Jessie, Spider, Wabana and North Star also hold some trophy fish from jumbo perch to crappies, northern pike to large mouth bass. This area has enough options to satisfy even the most finicky of anglers. During your fishing adventure, Eric would be happy to assist you in finding a great place to stay.
